US Census is Hiring

The US Census is actively seeking people to fill a variety of positions in the area. Hiring has begun and will be on-going as we prepare for the 2010 Census. Anyone 18 years or older eligible for employment may qualify. This is a great opportunity for retirees, veterans, job seekers, students, community leaders, small business owners, full-time, part-time and seasonal employees.

The first step to becoming a candidate is to attend a session to complete the application process and pass a 30-minute written test. Prior to attending the session, please visit www.2010.census.gov/2010censusjobs/ for more information, including identification to bring to the session. A practice test is available, and we recommend you take it prior to attending the session.

Test sessions are scheduled throughout the area, including Mt. Wachusett Community College campuses in Gardner and Devens. Please call 1-508-635-8110 to register for a session near you.

GOOD-WIL SUNDAY MUSIC BRUNCH RETURNS TO BENEFIT THREE COMMUNITY ORGANIZATIONS FITCHBURG - SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 8 at the Fitchburg Senior Center, 14 Wallace Ave. from 10am – 2pm Following two months of uncooperative weather, February’s month’s brunch will benefit the Fitchburg Firefighters Fitchburg Firefighters' Community Betterment Fund (Dec), Cleghorn Neighborhood Center (Jan), and the Thayer Community Music School.
Tickets are $12 for adults and $8 for seniors and children under 12 (children under 5 are free). Ticket price includes an all-you-can-eat brunch buffet and entertainment by local vocalist and cultural advocate Wil Darcangelo with his five-piece infused jazz ensemble. All tickets previously purchased will be honored at any brunch during the series season. All proceeds to go into the Good Wil Annual Fund for distribution to all 11 honored organization in the series.

Samples of Good-Wil Cookies will also be available. Orders will be taken for delivery at the March 8 brunch ($7 for 14 cookies). Proceeds to the Good-Wil Annual Fund.
